Zucchino Longzini Ibrido F.1

Zucchini marrow "Longzini" F1
Mid-early variety. Compact bush plant which stands up making harvest much easier. The plant is vigorous and it is an excellent producer of light green fruits with slight dark striping. The fruits are long, cylindrical and with a slightly swollen end. This variety is recommended for cultivation outside and resists many of the common diseases.  The fruits are elongated-cylindrical 4", light green in color.

Light, fertile soils with low groundwater levels are most suitable for zucchini; it does not tolerate acidic soils.  The best predecessors are early vegetables, onions, root vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes. Before planting, the area is dug up and fertilized with organic and mineral fertilizers, as well as ash, and if necessary, lime.
Sowing of seeds is carried out in late May - early June after spring frosts have passed. Seeds are sown in holes of 2-3 pieces. The distance between the holes is at least 60 cm. After germination, weak plants are carefully removed. Further care consists of regular watering, loosening, hilling and fertilizing.
Fruits are harvested regularly at intervals of 2-3 days, preventing them from overripening.
Zucchini can be grown through seedlings. Seeds are sown for seedlings in early May; seedlings are planted in open ground in early June in the 2-4 leaf stage.
