Lettuce Lattuga Maravilla de Verano Canasta

Lettuce Lattuga Maravilla de Verano Canasta (Marvel of Summer) is a mid-late lettuce variety.  A vigorous plant of good production with a semi-open head, rounded leaves with red edges that are tender with crunchy pronounced ribs.   Red outer leaves, green center.  Very high resistance to bolting.  This lettuce is crunchy and has a wonderful texture, not a limp spring lettuces. Slow to bolt.  No hint of bitterness.   Beautiful loose heading form.  One of the nicest and most reliable lettuces   start indoors in February and transplant late march. Withstands mild  frost.  Canasta lettuce is great, even in hot summer weather!
