Aster Needle Unicum Mix Callistephus Chinensis is a flowering, tender annual plant. Also commonly called China Aster, the plant is easy to grow from seeds, and this compact variety grows 24 inches tall producing long lasting, extra large, unique looking, spider-like flowers on a top of sturdy stems. Because of the shape of its flowers, this China Aster is also called Spider Aster, and its huge blooms of rose, violet, white and salmon flowers appear in summer and fall attracting butterflies and bees.

Aster Needle Unicum is a wonderful addition to any garden, and the beautiful Aster mix provides a splash of colors to borders and flower beds. Callistephus Chinensis likes to grow in full sun and rich, moist but well drained soil, but the plant tolerates partial shade easily. Spider Aster tolerates drought and makes a nice cut flower.
