Artichoke Violetto Precoce This is one of the most traditional of Italian vegetables .  A mid-early vigorous attractive plant producing medium sized thorn less purple artichoke globes which have tender meaty leaves.  They are a rich violet/purple in color with tight, thick and tender leaves with a delicate taste.  Prefers light/fertile soil (mostly for drainage). You may get some artichokes the first year depending on your climate. Plants produce for at least three years or longer.  Stump each fall.   Non GMO.  2.5 gram pack with 50 or so seeds.
