Lettuce, Lattuga Regina Dei Ghiacci

Lettuce, Lattuga Regina Delle Ghiacciole (Ice Queen) is a late variety head lettuce. It produces a good sized round head with round leaves, ample serrated edges and crunchy ribs and is resistant to going to seed.  Crisp leaf type. You can pick them before they head up or after; same great taste and texture. Usually work well during summer heat. Either start inside 6 weeks before set out, 2-3 seeds/cell, thin to one. Set out six week transplants from 3-4 weeks before last frost date until pretty much the middle of September.  Italian Iceberg Lettuce has a special taste; delicious with just a pinch of salt and some good olive oil!
